👋 Welcome to SignVET

SignVET is an Erasmus+ project that aims to make vocational education and training (VET) more inclusive and accessible for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

In many countries, sign language is still not used in VET – creating significant barriers for students who need it most. SignVET is here to change that.

We are developing tools and training that help teachers create course materials in national sign languages. This allows deaf students to learn in their mother language and promotes awareness and inclusion among hearing students.

🎯 Our Objectives

  1. Empower VET teachers to create course materials in national sign languages
  2. Improve access to VET for deaf students by making learning content more inclusive
  3. Promote sign language learning among hearing students to support inclusion and employability.

🚀 What We Will Deliver

  1. A clear methodology for creating digital content in sign language
  2. A set of semi-automatic translation tools
  3. Pilot courses in cybersecurity and management, translated into Portuguese and Spanish sign languages
  4. Training programs for teachers in partner countries
  5. An online platform to share and scale the results across Europe

🧩 Final Message
